![]() Mid July I had the disaster that wiped out my tank(pump quit in sump and tank hit 115F without the water going to the chiller). A little more than a month later the pod population has exploded. My Sump/refugium was never affected by the heat although the ammonia spike hurt the life in it. The pods have reseeded in the main tank and are incredible. Here is a picture of some on the glass. The pic is about 1.5 inches accross.
![]() The pods on the glass are nothing compared to the amount on the rock and sand. They are litterally on top of each other 2 or three deep in some places(couldn't get a good pic in those spots, bad angle). I have never seen them this thick. I guess thats what happens with a tank full of food(dead things) and no pod predators.
