![]() I have a 47 gallon tank that I finally have all plumbed and ready to go. I need to figure out the best way to do water. Is there some kind of RODI unit that doesn't need to be plumbed in? Are those tap filters decent? Something like this?
Any tips or suggestions this way would be great! Thanks. I may have posted this twice by mistake. James |

![]() I have my RODI system hooked up underneath our bathroom sink, there is also a faucet adaptor (you neet to make sure the aerator on your tap can come off, some need keys nowadays).
Since I live in my mom's house, I didn't want to go puncturing cold water lines. All I had to do was get the T adaptor and screw it in between the water line and the copper pipe under the counter. I got my system from aquasafecanada. |

![]() I've been using the faucet adaptor for years. My husband wasn't keen on making holes in our pipes. The adapter works like a charm

![]() This is all super helpful. I think I will grab one of those faucet adapters and a basic RO setup. Thanks everyone!

![]() Faucet adapters are ugly and get in the way... just my two cents. Theres also no need to punch a hole in your water line. Here is a simple inline fitting that can be bought at almost any hardware store and installed under any sink. What you do with the waste water line is the real issue. I personally run mine to the laundry room so that I can use the reject water for washing clothes. Saddles can also be purchased to run the waste line into the drain plumbing. Or I guess you could just loop it over the sink and stuff it down the drain while in use.
