![]() IMO the pm is probably slightly better for skimming but euro reef is quieter and much easier to set up and no messing around with adjustments . The question comes down to whats important to you.

![]() Got my ES 6-2+ on Friday from J & L. Set it up on Saturday. It seems to be working alright. Not making realy dark skimate, but good dark green wet stuff. I have a very light bioload ( 2 fish, 3 shrimp, 30 snails and 30 crabs) so I don't expect it to be overworked for another few months.
Euro-reef does a great job on the packaging and it is definatley a solidly built unit. Very quiet. Between the Mag 18 and 2 MH ballasts humming it is not noticable. For those running one of these, how deep is the water in your sump? Does the depth make much of a difference with this style? For the sarcastic people out there, I realize that it has to be deep enough to cover the pump so it doesn't burn out. ![]() Cheers, Al |

![]() I agree on the packing I am starting to wonder how much of the total cost
was packing lol .Depth of water in your sump seems to make no difference in the performance. |

![]() yah, the packing is a class act..
![]() ![]() I'm testing out some new depths now...I have the CS6-3 which is really tall. And I had to ram the CS8-1 into the new sump... It doesn't really seem to affect the performance. |
