I like your pics but most need a WB correction, too blue. Does your camera have a custom WB setting? If so have you tried using it yet?

I'm not 100% sure, I'm kind of a camera noob . What is WB correction? Yes I was finding that most of the photos were just WAY to bright, keep in mind thats with just actinics on so I have a feeling alot of the blueness has to do with that.

The colonies that I could take out I did, and dipped them in hot fresh water for a few minutes. The zoas close up tight when you take them out of the water so I think that protects them. I have not lost one single zoa from doing this. I shake the rock every minute or so to shake them off and boy did they fall off! Tonnes of the little buggers, as well as zoa eating crabs. All new frags go through this process now. I have some Zoas that are on my live rock and for those I just check them every so often. They are obvious when they are on the zoas because the zoas close up, and nudis cruise over them. Easy to spot so I suck them up with a turkey baster. I like to think that I'm winning the battle because I'm pulling out fewer and fewer every few days.
That is what I am doing for now. I can't take most colonies out so I just have to look for them and I take them out with a turkey baster. I can't find too many of them but I know they must be there. All my zoas are open and look happy so for now this how I will keep fighting them. It's going to be a long fight though!

zoaElite- So sorry for the hijack! I just thought since you have so many gorgeous Zoas, this might be a good place to get some advice about combating the nudis. Glad to hear that you have not really had to deal with them though. Although your right, much easier to deal with than AEFW.

Nothing to apologize over, I enjoy discussing this kind of stuff with all of you sophisticated people on canreef . Does anyone know if there is some sort of Biological control for Nudi's? I know that my corris wrasse loves eating flatworms and smaller inverts so possibly some sort of wrasse? Good luck with them GSP, you seem like a pretty smart guy keep up the work and I'm sure you can rid yourself of the little buggers.

Thanks Evan! Cherry picking coral shipments FTW!!! . Hey when you get your tank set up, shoot me a PM I have a few free surprises for you!

Shar, I don't think I can make the meet as I will probably be on holidays (hopefully I can swing something). If I can't make it mind if I send you some frags to raffle off with the door prizes?
