They are terribly weird. Mine have always been like that. I have 2 that split into 4. 3 remained like that. The 4th I put under a par38 LED in my frag tank and the bubbles blew up like crazy. So odd.

Here is the mother under T5



And here is the baby under par38

Ive got 2 types of RBTA in my tank. One type bubbles and the other doesnt. Who knows..... they are both very happy - great color and eat whatever I give them.

One type is a standard RBTA like FishyFish has in the pic & it bubbles.
The other is more like mrhasan's and it doesnt buble.

Same water - same lighting.....

Thanks for your inputs; appreciate it Seems like BTAs are known for weird behavior. But I am yet to see one with the coral disk stretched like the one I have; did any of your BTA ever do something like that?
