We have every major dealer in Canada on our supply list so the product will be available to all of them. Please allow 14 days for stock to start circulating.

Would the battery last long enough for my front pane of glass, 8 feet long by 2 feet high?

Yes it would but remember the glass thickness maximum is 12mm currently a thicker glass model is on its way.

Would it work on curved tanks, like a RSM or a Biocube?

Hope this answers many questions

1. Bow Front (curved glass) The RoboSnail can and does work on curved glass surfaces. The product was not designed or tested to do so however many customers have purchased a RoboSnail for this type of aquarium configuration and have had great success. We as a company can not guarantee that it will work, but we do guarantee and do warranty against any sort of manufacturer defects . In some cases it was necessary for the user to slightly modify their aquarium in order for it to work properly. While rare that the product wont function on your bowfront the company will trouble shoot and work with the customer in order to get the product to work on the customers aquarium. We have included a link to a vendor in Russia whom uses the RoboSnail on many bow front aquariums and has great success. http://www.aquariumist.ru/publ/robos...esis/9-1-0-466

2. 3/4 model Aquagenesis currently has been testing higher capacity products but has not released a timeline of when they anticipate to launch the next generation line of high powered RoboSnails.

3. Sand Pick Up The RoboSnail is designed and engineered not to pick up sand/gravel or any other type of substrate. This is accomplished in two ways.
• The RoboSnail is programmed to stay 2-3 inches above the users substrate level. This added safety feature built into the parameter prevents this from happening
• The RoboSnail is a preventative cleaning device and is not designed to have the strength to scrub through and remove established algae cultures. Therefore the product only has enough magnetic strength to dust the aquariums surface daily from algae build up preventing it to take hold. Do to its gentle nature the product if confronted with the sand bed can not dig in and pick up debris.

An article in the NY times also mentions this.http://www.nytimes.com/2014/03/27/te...robosnail&_r=0

Battery Life The battery of the RoboSnail is capable of lasting upwards of 20 minutes. Therefore it can safely clean the largest aquariums in that time frame constructed within the devices operational parameters.

General Function: It is not necessary for you the user to be present to activate the RoboSnail to do its cleaning. It will activate everyday at the time you the user designates. Many people who own the product rarely see it in action. Instead over time they simply notice clean glass without the headache. Great for anyone with a busy life in the modern world.
