![]() Well I had a stent inserted into one of my vessels off the heart back home recuperating now only had one blockage rest of cardiovascular system had no restrictions anywhere else which is extremely good
Amazing at how far heart treatment has come angiogram and stent surgery is now classified as day surgery I was on the table 35 minutes total and had a 5 hour recovery and was up and walking shortly there after with minimal pain Had the surgery at St. Paul's in Vancouver on the 6th released yesterday and flew home now rest and recuperation with full mobility with some conditions (no lifting of anything over 10 lbs, minimal stairs and no pushing the body hard for the first 5 days)

![]() Good to hear that you survived and are on the mend now. Good thing it happened, too, before you were flying solo (or without an instructor) with your flying lessons. Hope you have a full recovery and will be able to get back to your flying pursuits.

![]() Not sure what Transport Canada will do heart attacks are one of their so called Cardinal sins hoping that they will let me continue with lessons some time this year if I don't have too many hoops to jump through if they allow me

![]() Well, it is definitely a condition they check out thoroughly to be sure you are OK. You may need to go back to your aviation medical doctor and likely undergo further tests to ensure that you are good now. Probably will need meds and lifestyle changes (exercise/eating) as well. I do know many people have gone through this and are back flying after a heart attack. So it is certainly not a definite show stopper. Good luck.
