Yeah, the recession hurt a lot of people though. I didn't feel it, so I wouldn't mind it back. It's either strong dollar or low interest rates though, one or the other, pick the lesser of the evil. It's a good time to take that 10-year fixed rate.

Unfortunately, 1.4 is just the tip of the iceberg. Expect to see 1.5+ in 2016.

This is a double edged sword. Yes, it makes most of the crap we buy that much more expensive but it's greatly reducing cross border shopping(not just in this hobby but in general) and it will bring MUCH more American tourism and shopping into Canada. After all, their dollar will go a long way.
