I have a single G1 Radio with the wide angle lenses in original packaging. I used it on a 40breeder (same footprint) and grew all sorts of SPS. $300 shipped.

These have worked well for me so far on the same footprint as a 65 gallon. |

Any chance you could post a pic of your tank?

A 65 has a pretty crappy footprint, I should know 'cause I have one too. I am running 2 Kessil A360W, and although I do like these fixtures for the controllability and colour, they just don't score high in producing diffused light. Corals are growing in funny directions towards the light source and I really need to try something else, or supplement with some T5's. If you have a 4 bulb T5 fixture right now, you might consider going the route of a DIY hybrid by adding some LED strips. I've seen several nice local tanks, and I can only think of one with only LED's that looks good. All the best tanks (coral colour and growth) are using T5, T5/LED hybrid, or Halide/T5 combos. Hope this helps. |
