100% true.
It does not affect their growth.
I have personally seen hundreds of critters get done earlier then 3 months of age and they all grew up as big and strong as intact siblings and other intact animals of the same breed. Ive also see the ones left intact to "grow", develop so many issues including cancer, and still not grow. Its genetics.

This is so true - for females too! Me dog just got breast cancer surgery this spring. She was spayed around 2-3 years old (we adopted her at 6 years old) and late spaying has been found to increase breast cancer in female dogs. In fact, almost all female dogs with breast cancer are spayed late, and there is only a 50/50 chance that surgery will cure the cancer.

I'm not an expert but It looks like what dogs do when they have "worms". Might be worth a vet visit or google that and see what you think
