I have a brute container that automatically fills with RO water. There is a ball valve plumbed into it so I have fresh RO available on demand. I also use this container to top off my tank through a float valve in the sump. My ro filter is on a garden water timer and I have programmed it to run for an hour a day to refill the water in the container with a float valve on the end in the event that the brute container ever gets full. I usually only keep it 1/3 full though because I don't want to dump 20 gallons of water into my sump if the float valve ever failed. The automation is great. I like never having to think about freshwater top off, however if I had the space I would have liked to have a separate RO storage container and a separate RO top off container.

My system uses a solenoid on a timer so it only opens twice a day for 5 minutes. And that's just to fill the pail. There is still the tunze osmoregulator controlling the actual filling of the sump from that bucket. Double redundancy makes me happy

The new AWC has an RODI section and a FSW section that the profilux will control

Not quite done yet though!

I would do vinyl wall paneling, like they use in commercial kitchens.

I painted my floor with an epoxy. Looked pretty and wiping up spills was so easy.

Plunb it into your sink drain then almost foolproof for a flood

Floor drain is nice but unless there's already one good luck not a easy install. I ran 3 new 15amp breakers for lots of power also if one breaker goes for some reason it does not shut everything down.main return is on its own plug so it never stops.

At 6'x7' you're going to have less space than me so you'll either need to be a lot more creative or you won't be able to accommodate many of these suggestions. One that hasn't been mentioned so far is some ducting to draw fresh air in from outside. Otherwise, in the winter the hot humid air you exhaust out will be replaced by household air that you are paying to heat. Let me also suggest that you buy the largest exhaust fan that you can find. 50 cfm wouldn't make a dent in the humidity in my room, 110cfm still left it extremely hot, it took 300cfm to get the job done.
