I used a yoga matt under my 33 gallon and it worked very well assuring small gaps getting support, believe they are available in blue or black. Canadian Tire.

I ordered a thick yoga mat from Amazon for $20, you can pick your colour (I chose white to match the stand) and it has worked great so far. Peace of mind.

surprised a gap considering not that large of a stand
