![]() A Bubble Blaster is a better pump and on a Vertex 250 would be a powerful skimmer. The Curve skimmers are very similar design so I see little use in paying for a skimmer body. It's all in the pump. Jmho

![]() I agree with Myka. I went through that routine a couple months ago. Decided to suck it up and stick with my ER RS250 and a replacement pump from reefdynamics. I just couldn't beat the efficiency of the ER with something I was unsure of (besides the ER kicks ass on tank volume ratings). That being said, the genx-6000 pump that used to run on the ER was WAY better than the one they're selling now (Eheim 1262) but it gets the job done.

![]() Ya, after sleeping on it I decided to stay with the devil I know, rather than with the one I don't. Ordered a Reef Octopus RODC 3500s skimmer pump from Ray (Reef Supplies). Hopefully I won't have to play with it too much to make it work.
