![]() so in my 40 breeder i had an ick outbreak my tank been up and running for 4 months everything was fine till i threw in a yellow tang he wouldn't eat anything beside grazing at the liverock every fish died beside one clown all my inverts and corals are fine if i have no fish in my tank would ick just disapear?

![]() Yes actually , there must not be any fish left in there and has to remain that way for 8 weeks, now if you do go that route the question will be raised about the new fish you do add afterwards so if your going to go through the long wait then you'll want to plan out how your going to avoid this next time. Shrimps, corals , crabs , anemones etc are fine just nothing with gills

![]() Nothing. You have to leave it without fish to clear the ich. Only other option is drain and bleach.

![]() Yup if you can't wait the 8wks then you can restart with new sand and new rock and dry everything out and wash everything down. Old rock and sand cannot be used right away
