Ya, I wasn't sure how the direct light might affect it, but I bet it's less than an hour so, so I wasn't going to fret it.
I have no lights in the hood yet, but I'm getting closer

Really nice job with everything. I have direct sunlight on my tank for about 4 hrs. Just makes a little more cleaning at this point.

Minor update...
Got my electric float switches in the mail the other day for my water change station. Had some time today to get a few last things buttoned up. Float switches installed in both barrels. In the FW barrel to the left they will control the RO/DI coming on and off via an Apex break out box. Then in the SW barrel the high one will kick out the pump filling the barrel from the FW barrel and the lower one will kick out my Stenner pump from doing anymore water changes. I'm also thinking of setting up an alarm on the Apex if that ever happens, to alert me I need to re-fill my SW.
I still need to wire all that up, but I'll work on that while the tank is cycling etc. I also just painted that board on the wall between the FW barrel and the sink. That's where I'm hanging my RO/DI system.

Automatic water change Stenner pump installed and piped.

And the sump with pumps installed and ready:

And finally a buddy was driving by a large retail outlet and saw all their display shelving and tables outside so he thought that was strange. Went in and asked, turned out they were replacing everything and were throwing all the old ones out!!! So he picked up several truck loads of shelving and 3 tables. I talked him out of one of them
Plan is to set up my QT tanks and gear on it.

Looks like this baby will get wet by the end of the week
