Default Blue Linkia and 3 Clams

I've had the star for 5 months. I've had the clams about 6 months.

How about the Ricordia Sam , do you split them, or just let them do their thing . I have one like the upper one, and it looks as if it is becoming two.

Hi Bob. No, I don't split them by hand. I bought a colony to begin with.

Beautiful pics Sam!

I'm curious though, don't the ricordia's or other soft corals put toxins into the water if something like the starfish is probing on top of them? If so, has there ever been a problem? I have always avoided large starfish because I thought this to be true.

Thanks, and again nice photos!

Rob

Thanks Rob. That's a hard question to answer. I don't really know much about that. I do know that the Ricordias tend to kill the other polyps in the tank that they touch. I've seen them disintegrate regular mushrooms by touching them.
