I did notice that and my issue has nothing to do with the colour blending but with the spectra. I've messed around with lots of leds over the years. I'm leaning away from the red/orange/yellow emitters. They might contribute a bit to coral growth but I think they add nothing to colour. Coral flourescence and colour seems to be brought out by wavelengths green and smaller. Green, cyan, blue and violet.

One of the reasons so many people seem to like the Kessils is that they are heavy in the violet end of the spectrum and really make the corals glow.
