Default icecap ballast question

Has anybody ever tried to run 3 6ft vho's on a 660 ballast? It seems like such a waste to be only able to run 2 and I don't really want to mix p.c.'s and vho's

Ask on the IceCap forum on ReefCentral. I seem to recall asking a question like this before and IceCap resonded it should be ok. they underrate the 660 somewhat and it can actually run about 20 feet of lamp.

In case anyone else is interested this is Icecaps reply to my question

It is not recommended but highly possible it will work. Make sure to use a heat sink and provide adequate ventillation to the ballast as it will run hotter. If it will not work, it will just try to light and then shut down.
