![]() So. I got a couple pieces of coral last Saturday and my crazy glue had dried up. I used DD putty to secure the two pieces. Right away the skimmer starts overflowing. That's not surprising, it was expected. But on Monday it was still overflowing so I got concerned and did a wc today. Skimmer is still overflowing. Should I take the whole thing out to vinegar bath? I've had the top off so everything just overflows back into the tank, in other words, I'be been running skimmer less for the last few days and that can't be good. Any advice?

![]() Iv had the same thing happen for over a week from putty. Just give it time it will go back to normal. Skimmerless for a few days is no big deal

![]() Running for a few days without a skimmer won't hurt anything

![]() Thanks for alleviating my concerns. I ended up putting the lid back on and attaching a hose to the drain in the skimmer cup. I figured if it was still overflowing after a couple of days there must be something on the water column making it do so. After an hour or so of this the skimmer seemed to calm down a bit.
