Probably look for a bird BBS. Mated pairs of anything are worth more (to breeders, generally poor pet stock). Cockatoos are always worth a lot, some are stupidly expensive(Roses, Black).
I'm sure there are resources like Canreef (Canbirds?) where people would love to know what's available.

I used to have 53 birds...tell your friend to expect a bit of noise around the house until they're sold
