There is a thread on RC where several people had cobalt heaters exploded in their tanks. In the same thread, someone even claimed that cobalt (unofficially) admitted there might be manufacture fault in some of their heaters. Go to RC and search for cobalt.

I have three of these 2x50w 1x75w (for different purposes) and have had no issues. In fact my temp never really swings more than one degree per day (if that) Plus being shatterproof is always a plus!

I'd definitely recommend them.
