Gender and orientation shouldn't force people to have different interests. I still appreciate (the original) MLP; I have two older sisters and ponies were one of the few things that got us together without someone beating someone else... though it was mostly them going after each other.
Anyway, liking MLP doesn't change your sexuality. If anything, it changes your age! In which case it becomes a time-travel device, and what's so wrong with that?
