![]() Seriously ****es off inverts and corals when used. Never had it kill them.
Makes the skimmer go crazy. Other then that no ill effects any times ive used melafix/pimafix in the tank. |

![]() Thanks for the info! I guess it may help qualify the question as I have observed since medicating my tank that my frogspawn isn't happy and every time I dose the tank it seems to effect the CU crew.

![]() I've tried using Melafix many years ago in a quarantine tank on a few occasions and didn't find that the pseudo-medication actually did anything to cure the disease. I don't think the recipe has changed since.

![]() I assume that tea tree oil can't pass through the gills because its definitely toxic if you swallow it that or its super dilute (it really irks me that aquarium product manufacturers feel that they don't have to put concentrations on their bottles >:l ).
The stuff might actually help lesions heal, hard to say if you're casually observing. I have cuts heal all the time without putting polysporin on them, would putting polysporin on them help? Very probably but I've certainly never "noticed" a difference.
