I had to take one out inorder to take a photo of it. For a size reference Photo number 2 was taken on top of a Toonie.

Defiantly not what I have but looks like a turbo or Astraea snail to me.

Colonista snail. Completely harmless but can multiply fast if food source is available

I have lots of these for quite a long time. Never, in my estimation, too many.
They are part of a cleanup crew, but will happily munch on algae on my glass as well.
Could be unsightly to some, but I like them. lol

If there stuck on they can also be spiral worms , harmless little filter feeders.

they are not worms for sure. It's a shell.
