![]() I have a line on a cheap price on this upgrade.. Is it really worth it? From what I have read there are more varied flow options.. What else?
thanks! |

![]() How many are you planning on using?
If you only have one I would not waste your money. |

![]() Its only worth it if you want more than 1 running at the same time and in sync. Otherwise its pointless.

![]() I'd call it a worthwhile investment if you're running multiple pumps. The Tidal Swell & Nutrient Transport modes are the 2 major changes. I use TSM pretty much exclusively now. From TSM a single button push puts the pumps into NTM which creates a nice wave if you take the time to tune the pumps. Another button push & they're back in TSM. I use NTM for an hour or so just before doing a water change. Kicks up a lot of extra gunk. Also, if you're upgrading from the older drivers, the newer ES drivers have an extra ON/OFF button, allowing you to turn the pump off without unplugging it. If you use night mode, unplugging the non ES drivers causes them to lose that setting & you have to redo it. Power ON/OFF button on newer drivers prevents loss of the night mode time setting.

![]() You can also use Ames with the non es, I currently use it that way, the es as the controller. The only flow pattern that the non es doesn't support is the high nutrient mode
