Wow Canreef has Died a lot over the last year.

IMO, the hobby is at a bit of a plateau right now, the past few years have been a wild ride with skimmers, new dosing techniques, and generally hard to find items. Im pretty convinced I can skip a few months at a time on reefbuilders, and not really miss anything relevant when looking back.

Now "ultra corals are a click a way, skimmers have not advanced much, leds are running there coarse, but gen to gen hardly seems to be leaving much to talk about.

Im sorry I can only talk about 1 model of dc pump for long, maybe im wrong and out of the loop.

Things move pretty quick around here if your not visiting every 2seconds, but when im in ocd mode refreshing every 5 minutes, things move like a glacier.

The three that have dropped from edmonton in the last year are still up and running, they all just say the same thing, prices went up to a point where it was not longer in their favor to continue paying.

I browse it a lot, but have never been a hugely active person here. And it is much slower this winter than last, and coming into spring now it's just getting worse.

Well, that does happen in the market place. Unless a vendor is shipping nationally, it may not be in their interest to advertise to that market. We lost some, we got some new ones. That's the way it goes. But because some Edmonton vendors stopped advertising here, it really has no impact on the board. And browsing the Facebook group, it's mostly buying and selling, which to me, is a far secondary function of Canreef. If I see less activity in those forums, I'd be happier. This is primarily a Reef discussion board and in my experience here over the last 13 years, this year is the same as any other, except we have more and different members.
