Coral snow

I've got approx. 100g in my system. I started adding coral snow 2 days ago (only 2ml), and my Lps have acted a little strangely to it. Lobo and candy cane not expanding as per usual, others are fine. Any thoughts on this product. Also dosing amino acids. Thanx

Which coral snow product are you using? I don't have either of those corals but I haven't observed any negative effects with any of the corals I do keep.

Zeovit Coral Snow would not cause that. It just helps to bind tiny particles together. It's not a food or anything like that. Never dosed amino acids before. I see no need for it in my system. Why are you dosing it?

I use coral snow daily at half the minimum recommended dosages, I didn't have any LPS, but I did have zoas and it didn't really affect anything. Just noticed the water being clearer and more skim-mate after I used it. I find it strange that your LPS would do that. I am in for answers as well.

I use it twice per week 1.5 ml, I have a 30 head candy cane and I've noticed no ill effects.

LPS tend to like dirtier water, so when using coral snow you are helping your skimmer and what not take protein out of the water making it cleaner...So in other words it will make your sps happier and LPS sad, but it will still thrive and do well once accustomed to it......
