It is caribsea black sand. I asked the people at J&L about it and they didn't seem to know to much. The bag said on it reef safe, and good for salt water. I heard put a magnet on it if it picks up anything get it out ASAP .
But I didn't do much research on it yet. Denny from the LFS just warned me about some black sands . That tank is awesome !
