The Rubbermaid Brute is just a garbage can. As you can see I've stacked my rock away from my heater. I would like to stack the rock all around my pump and just set the heater on top of the rock, is it safe to do that?

So no GFO eh....but wouldn't running GFO encourage the rock to leech out the phosphates quicker?

Thanks,

Ron
No need to be sorry its always good to ask a thousand question than to tell of a problem story...learning curve to all of us..
HC-GFO wouldn't encourage the phosphates out of the rock.It will simply remove what is in the water line.
If you have enough water flow then I don't see a problem placing the heater on the rock as long as you keep up with the water top off making sure the heater is always under water and not rocked around by the water flow...
