So my point was that LPS and SPS are artificial terms. Goniopora, phylogenically, would be an SPS, being part of family Poritidae. The terms are near useless even when trying to figure out general husbandry guidelines given the variance of natural habitats you can find either "type" of coral in.

Regarding cyphastrea, different strains and species will do best in (get ready for magnum opus here) different conditions (gasp)*****
