![]() I used a cheap mag float on my 3/4" tank without issue. It would let go if you went too fast but I kept my glass clean just fine. More passes with less pressure... and cheap did i mention that?

![]() I have no experience with the Vertex, been using the hammerhead for years. I like that the hammerhead comes with an extra pad and easily velcros on and off. I've owned my hammerhead for 3 years and just replaced the pad with the spare that it came with, recently.

![]() I've never used or even seen the vertex but if it doesn't float then it's a no brainier to me. I use Hammerhead, I've had the same one for many years and it's seen 4 different tank setups so the extra cost seems to be well worth it.
