Hopefully someone local will be willing to do a close price match so I don't have to deal with shipping
I hate buying big stuff online only to find it's damaged etc

Vertex 150 over Bubble magus curve cone 5 ?
I wouldn't take a second look if the price is right
The Vertex is awesome with 900lph air intake
The curve 5 only has around 300

An equivalent to my Skimz 180 Kone was put head-to-head with the Vertex (SWC160, albeit a lower output skimmer than mine), and the Vertex kicked butt
I like the higher air volume of the Vertex (900lph) compared to my 350 something lph

I didn't want to spend the money on a replacement skimmer anytime soon, but I've been looking at the 150 and it looks like the time is right

I had been researching other skimmers not this one because it was well out of my price range.

Well I needed some other stuff too, shipping stayed the same even with the other things. Just maxed out my visa. Excellent!
I will loose my **** if it comes damaged, I have never placed an online order that didn't come with problems, fingers crossed!

BRS did a promo where if they got 2000 likes on Facebook they would knick $150 off those skimmers, hence the good price. Don't think they have too many so take the plunge sooner rather than later

Curve 7 is almost equivalent to vertex 130 in terms of air draw so you shouldn't be comparing 150 with curve 5 Do keep in mind that vertex's foot prints are generally bigger than equivalent skimmers and their rating is generally for medium to heavy bioloads unlike most of the skimmers out there in the market.
