I find salt water very hard on cords and cracks them over time, I use aquarium safe silicone lube on the cord that's in the s/w to help keep them supple. Power cords on used equipment should be looked at closely and avoided if they show signs of cracking near the equipment they run IMO. Oh ya I've been power punched as well ouch!!!

Electrecuted or maybe shocked numerous time throughout the years
Last shock was about a week ago at work changing a fluorescent fixture yes stupid as I was doing it knowing have live lines. ...then you know the rest on the ladder with a good jolt through my arm,....no matter how good you think playing electricity always be safe... |
