![]() So I just got offered a job in Alberta starting off as a lease hand on a service rig. I have all the credentials, attitude etc. except for my licence. My Irish licence isn't transferable to canada, so I had to start from scratch. Got my L, now have an N. The N is a class 7 but I need a class 5. I can't take my full licence till June of next year. I know I'd pass the test easy it's just the wait that sucks.
My question is, can I go to Alberta and do a road test/trade in my N for an Alberta licence? To get this job I need to be up there with the licence by the end of the week. |

![]() call an Alberta registry office and state you holds a drivers license from Ireland and wants the process to drive in Alberta
You shouldn't have to wait a year I had family friends moved over and it worked for them |
