I believe it was established that auxiliary LEDs like moonlights are permitted. However, primary LEDs, such ones ones used for growing are not permitted. It is clearly in our charter*

We are not necessarily anti-LED in this club. We just simply do not own LEDs. There's a difference

I don't have LEDs, but I recognize their benefits and can appreciate why someone would want to run LEDs. LEDs are not terribly. They won't crash your tank, they won't make your take look like poop. LEDs work, there are LOTS of nice tanks running LEDs.

I appreciate the technology too and LED "IS" the future that is for sure (being an electrical engineer, I love LEDs) and would choose my house lighting with LED instead of CFL. BUT, I am an anti-LED in this hobby because although I dont overlook the benefit of it (dissipates less heat and the no more bulb replacement) but I don't support some of the more stronger claims by many hobbyist like "saves money" and "equivalent replacement of MH". Ofcourse different hobbyist have different preference but don't you think the usual lines of "get an LED, we are in the new era!" is a bit over rated? :P Instead, it should be something like "go with what you like and here are the pros/cons of each type"? Now can I join?

It doesn't sound to me like you're anti-LED then. it sounds like you are anti-People-Who-Own-LEDs

Under the right circumstances, LEDs can save you money. No one has ever told me that LEDs are an equivalent replacement for MH. In fact, everyone (including LED owners) typically tell me that they can NOT replace MH.
