![]() I'd go with another vertex alpha 250 and a vertex libra. I'd use a trigger sump and copy how it was done in the video. I'd skip on any vortech pumps because of noise. Check out the sump at 3.21.

We are actually moving the Vertex Alpha 250 from our LPS system to this 300g display. We got two of the Deltec SC2560 internal skimmers for both our LPS and SPS systems. There is nothing cleaner looking than a vortech pump for an in-wall tank unless you drill the glass for a closed loop. Noise is not a concern because this is a commercial setting, not a bedroom. Since this is an in-wall, there is no canopy required. We will update this thread with more pics of the in-wall display build. ![]()

![]() The electrical inspector came today and failed us.
![]() Apparently, all equipment used must be CSA (Canadian Standards Association) certified. Considering that most of our equipment is made in Germany, we are out of luck. Even EcoTech Radions, Vortech pumps, Tunze powerbeads, etc.. are not CSA certified. That leads me to believe that every single fish store in canada is in violation. Wonderful...

![]() Thats rubbish, the products fall under the low voltage directive. providing the power supply is certified then they are approved.
And no they do not have to be CSA they can be ETL UL TUV just not CE. |

![]() LED lighting is also test exempt. its in the amendment. the power supply is not thats why both ecotech and GHL use graded power supplies

I just went thru this with local inspectors with a LED dance floor for my club. Those marks are a exactly the ones they need C RU & C RU US are Non Canadian/US certifiers with CSA approval. Plus I have to agree that your inspector is step out of his area even looking at your equipment.
