![]() The red leafy stuff looks like macro algae. Up to you if you keep it or not. I don't mind some 'natural' stuff in my tank
The red hairy stuff is red turf algae. It may go away on it's own as your tank cycles/matures. If it gets out of control, get some Indonesian Turbo snails. They love this stuff. Mexi turbos may eat it, but they don't last as long in our tanks The little white stick in the pic with the snail looks like a Vermatid snail. Get rid of it pronto. Don't panic, but break it off and cover it with epoxy before it becomes a plague in your tank. They spread like crazy - I should have done this from the start and now they are all over. Messy little critters The pink/red looking thing in pic d30 looks like a feather duster If you're asking about something else, I can't see it Look online for pics of Aiptasia, Mojano, and Hydroids The first 2 must go, and the third are harmless Maybe you could get a clearer pic of the things you are showing us ? The 'plating' purple stuff is an algae. Mine isn't out of control The other purple stuff that covers rock like it's painted on is corraline algae. Sign of a healthy tank, or at least good levels of Alk/Ca/Mag. Some like it, some hate it. In the pic with the snail, I don't know what the pink/red thing with the white center is - I can't make it out Nice lookin' frags. My leptastrea has doubled in size over the last year |

![]() The Vermatid snail are all over my rocks. I think it might be too late to do anything but there are ALL over all of my rocks
![]() Back to the lepaestrea, I bought it a couple days ago and it's cube shaped, will the cube grow as a whole or does the tops part spread over the edge and into the rock that its testing on |

![]() The Vermatids are messy. They cast out strings to catch things and look ugly
The coral will grow over the edges of the skeleton and down onto the rock. So you'll end up with a lump in the middle I left mine like that, but wish I had sliced the bottom off, or stuck it into a hole |
