Congratulation and as usual I have some unsolicited advice..... Sounds like your first kick at the can since getting married was important to you sooo.....
1. Don't try to change him and more importantly don't change yourself. 2. House bank account for household expenses and each of you continue with separate bank accounts. With you younger whipper snappers this might be the norm now.
