I just ran out of IO and dropped $ for a large bucket of Salinity. Makes me wonder after some of the comments I have read here.

Honestly, give it a shot. Enough people report good results, so maybe my LFS got a bad truck load. It can happen. Use half the bucket, come back and report your thoughts on it.
