Almost everybody experiences hair algae outbreaks some more than others it's one of those funny algaes that drive you batty you can fight it for weeks and months to no avail then all of a sudden one day it disappears some get it coming back others luck out. I think it was just put out There to annoy the hell out of us SW enthusiasts

Tell me about it!!! I'm currently experiencing this situation on top of having a nitrate spike! Never had that problem before with my 90 gallons. But what a gong show I am having with the 29g bio cube. I miss the tangs! Well, I will persevere like you have done and hope for a light at the end of the tunnel....
