![]() hey all,
i need to paint a couple stands. they ae made of wood. any recommendations for type of paint? the person at store said any outdoor latex would work. main reason for painting is waterproofing. thanks!

![]() I've always used masonary paint first because its thick and it seals the wood. And the paint it with any paint or any color.

![]() You can use whatever stain you want, but it is recommended that you put a good coating of poly over it to protect the wood.

![]() just to clarify, the stand is wood, but not nice furniture wood.
as in i wont be staining it. no wood grain to show off or anything like that. i just want to seal it up nice and good. and then throw on a coat of color. probably black. lol

![]() Killz is good stuff Thick and good coverage with a couple of coats. Seals well.
