Wow! Your coral looks incredible buddy! Quite the collection of Montipora's too.

I didn't know you photographed with a 40D. I've been thinking of picking one up off Kijiji. It's what I use to shoot with a few years ago too. Although the cost of the Macro lenses is the real kicker.

Thanks josh. Ya that's where I got my 40D, Kijiji :-). Was cheap too!! It takes great photos if paired with a nice lens. You and I both know its all about the lens more than the camera body. I could produce the same photos with my two lenses on pretty much any camera body :-). I don't like using the 5D because it's quite a bit heavier and I'm a weakling. Also, I never take advantage of its full frame. 90% of my photos end up being cropped down to 800x600

What I do like about the 5D is its high ISO (up to 12K). However, in a tank lit by three 250watt metal halides, ISO is hardly an issue :-)

Yea, Lighting is never really an issue when photographing a tank.

I gotta get something though. Iphones do NOT like LED's so it's impossible to take a decent photo of my tank at home and I do need something for the office otherwise no one will ever see it. (at least no one on the interwebz)

Four years! Blows my mind man... I'm hoping to follow in your tiny footprints! Pics are bangin' like always. I'm loving the monti collection they all look fab. I forgot all about the superman. I used to have a branching one and it grew nutty fast. Wonder why it's not for sale all over the place.
