![]() I was told by a couple of experienced reefers to prepare my tanks to be on minimal maintenance for about 9 months or so after the birth of my first child (Felicia). They were right.

Kids need your time and attention but you need something for yourself (time and/or a hobby) to keep your sanity. A tank is a great educational tool as well. My kids love it and my oldest can name all kinds of fish and invertebrates.
