Water changes would help.
What are your parameters? esp nitrates phosphates
Try and suck out as much of the stuff as you can.

I am running GFO, Carbon and BioPellets. PO3 is 0.06, Nitrate no detectable. Trying to brush it out!

not really, it kind of fluffy and difficult to blow it with buster. Need to be brushed.

Hard to tell from the pictures but are you sure its an algae and not a bacteria?

Have no idea. The biggest issue it grows on dead portion of corals as well and frag rack. nothing on rocks. Clean - no algae at all on rocks.
