1/2" is way too light IMO for 10' tank as well, doesn't matter how you brace it.

good call Steve thanks I have never had a 10 ft tank and this is what I'm looking for good points

my 8 footer was 1/2" all around

Give Stu or Steve a call at Prairie Aquatics and Exotics in Regina. They have a display tank the same dimensions you're looking at, 120x24x24.

No but they could advise on glass thickness etc. if you're undecided on that. It was built a few months back by someone in Calgary I believe.

Maybe this chart can help you a bit?

I read in a thread in canreef that minimum suggested safety factor is 3.80.
