I don't see a wife that supports my hobby a good thing. Maybe I am different. But I already spend way too much money on this hobby, and god only knows how much more I would be in debt if my wife supported me on every purchase.

You would have spent much less if your wife accepted your hobby. Truth be told, forbidden fruits always tastes better and this hobby wouldn't have been the forbidden fruit if it was accepted by her
