Default ushio 10k with 2 actinic

I picked up my new 400w ushio 10k today and replaced my radiums
does any one know if the color of the ushio will go any whiter after breaking in.I am running them on a pfo hqi ballast

Yup. As soon as your eyes adjust, which will take about 2 weeks. When I switched from Radium to Ushio 10k, I hated them. Very yellow. After my eyes got used to it, it looked fine.
I will, however, be putting the radiums back shortly. Much nicer look, IMO.

I agree I like the radiums but I wanna see if there is going to be a difference in growth rates with these 10k

You will see a bit of added growth, assuming all the othe rrequired parameters are optimal.

well the system is only 8 mos old but very stable and has had good grwth rates imo before.So hopefully in another 8 months I notice a difference.
I would like to have system that looks some what mature and healthy.
