The secret is hydrogen peroxide and RapiClear by Crystal clear. 3-40z/1000 gals of 29% H202 once a week or after every heavy rainfall. And use the RapiClear flocculent if your water gets cloudy (providing you have mechanical filtration that you can backwash). The water was clear all summer last year after I started doing this. I had green water during the cycling process last season. This year I cheated the green water cycling stage by dosing H202 every day for about 2 weeks.

I actually starting dosing H202 in my reef about 3 weeks ago and all my algae went away, and so did my cyan0 (which I've had for over 2 years). Certain corals have shown increased polyp extension. It's amazing!

Where do you buy the stuff?? I did find one shop that had it, but they wanted 18 bucks for a bottle (about 1 litre, I think). Is that the going price?

Solutions are easy. The real difficulty lies in discovering the problem.
