comparing different designs of skimmers is like comparing apples to oranges.
Each do the job they were designed to do. In their own way. Some with brute force, some with finesse. I have run all the designs talked about here. Except a mazzei. Which is another style of venturi of which I have run several. They all work well. Each has good and bad points. Each can do the job. The decision is up to you how you want that job done. Then buy the skimmer to fit your needs. saying one is better than another is a bit of a waste of energy IMO.
