Default using Moon lights or not?

Just wondering how many are using moon lights through the night on an SPS/LPS system?
I hadnt been for a while but just turned them on - LED blues on my vertex 260 fixture. , noticed some heavy glass algae and one coral bleached not sure if its related or not. But wondered if theres any definite benefit to running moon lights - DO corals feed better with them at night? are they needed?
thanks

no, they are not needed and no ur coral dying is not related to the moon light, but your algae probly relate to your coral dying something in ur water is not right. you might wanna test you water such as phosphate

I only use them because they are built into my fixture.
